The 42nd Annual Conference of All Manipur Students' Union which was held at a stretch of five days long concluded today at Kakching higher Secondary School, Kakching.
The event of the apex body of all students of Manipur mainly emphasised upon the duties of students and took a firm dicision to contribute every possible efforts in setting up a State University in Manipur.
Speaking on the occasion, the president of AMSU, Laishram Khamba encouraged the students on the need to learn, serve and sacrifice for the State, Manipur.
Being merelyarmed with educational certificate does not make any difference in the society but the main concern is to be able to put those hard-earned knowledges in use in the larger interest of the people, he lamented.
Taking note of the fact that Manipur has been moving backward as far as educational excellence is concerned comparing to other States of the country, Khamba assured the students community that he, along with his colleaques would work to their best extent to pressurise the authority concerned to set up a State University in Manipur.
Former presidents of AMSU Leihaothabam Sarat Chandra and M Abhiram were the functional Chief Guest and guest of honour respectively.
