SP Thanchuila crowned Miss Luira 2014

Ukhrul, February 20 2014 :
Beating ten aspirants, SP Thanchuila of Somrei village was crowned Miss Luira 2014 in a keenly contested pageantry held at Mission Ground Alungtang, Ukhrul yesterday.
Thanchuila walked home richer by Rs 50,000 along with the crown.
Cheiyaphy Wungleng of Wino Bazar and Yurlingla Journaran Shaiza of Alungtang were adjudged the 1st and 2nd Runners up respectively.
Other subtitle winners are Runmitha Luikham (Beautiful Hair), Wonmi Ragui (Miss Cat walk), Worleichan A Shimray (Perfect), Cheiyaphy Wungleng (Beautiful smile) and Ringronthing Ngaror (best traditional dress) .

Sensational entertainment programme including live musical show and performance from local artists/bands, body show etc were other events that enthralled the jam-packed crowd.
The Miss Luira tiara winner Thanchuila said she wants to become a wedding planner, while Cheiyaphy Wungleng put her hearts on charity works.
Journaran aims to become an educationist.
The beauty contest was organised by Hunphun Frontal Organization and supported by Ukhrul Village authority.
The TNL President Artax A Shimray dehoisted the Luira festival flag to close the 2014 seed sowing festival of Hunphun/Ukhrul villlage.
