Children Outreach Programme held

Imphal, December 20 2024: SK Ideal Government High School under the sponsorship of Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India organised a Children Outreach Programme at the school premises in Ngairangbam, Imphal West district today.

The programme was conducted with the aim to spread awareness on promotion of science & technology and its importance in rural areas of Imphal West district.

The two-days long programme will feature technical sessions, essay writing competition, painting competition, quiz competition and model demonstration.

The inaugural function was graced by Sucheta Khumukcham, MES, ZEO Zone-, Imphal West, Government of Manipur; Oinam Muhindro Singh, Vigyan Mandir Officer, Directorate of Education (S), Government of Manipur and K Apuilu Rongmei, Head Mistress, SK Ideal Government High School as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Sucheta Khumukcham said that the outreach programme will be hugely beneficial to the young students.

She also expressed hope that the programme will provide the opportunity for students to gain new knowledge and learn more about science & technology.

Oinam Muhindro stressed on the need to participate and keep up with the ever-changing world of science and technology.

He shared that the Directorate of Education (S) has been organising various programmes including science exhibitions to foster creativity and innovation among students.

He asserted that these qualities will help students develop critical thinking skills, adapt to new challenges, and prepare for future careers that demand innovative solutions.
