MASTEC to commemorate National Space Day 2024

Imphal, July 09 2024:
The Manipur Science & Technology Council (MASTEC) is gearing up to celebrate National Space Day 2024 on July 19 at NIELIT, Akampat, Imphal to commemorate the successful landing of Chandrayan-3 Vikram lander on the surface of the moon.
As per a statement issued by Manipur Science & Technology Council, the celebration will be conducted in collaboration with North East Space Application Centre (NESAC), Shillong.
The main features of the programme includes a talk on Indian Space Programme with special emphasis on Moon Missions (lunar exploration), space applications for social benefits, audio visual show, space exhibition and display on space on wheel, interaction of students with scientists from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and NESAC etc.
Additionally, science quiz on space exploration will be organised for students from Class IX to XII.
In this connection, a team of 2 students from each school have been invited submit duly filled in application forms on or before July 16 .
The forms can be obtained from Manipur Science & Technology Council Office or from their website https://mastec.nic.in .
Further, a team of one teacher and two students from each school can also be nominated by the Principal/Headmaster of the respective schools (private or Government) for participation in the technical session of National Space Day Celebration 2024 .
