Imphal, November 08 2024: The United People's Party of Kangleipak (UPPK) has cautioned all contractors who are executing PMGSY works under Rural Engineering Department in Kangleipak not to manipulate or defy established rules and specifications.

A press release issued by the outfit's assistant publicity secretary Nongdamba Meitei further appealed to all contractors to give up the idea and practice of bidding for PMGSY works below the estimated costs.

Bidding below the estimated costs implies that the contractors have an intention to rob the people in broad daylight, it said.

Citing a decision adopted by the outfit's central committee, it also appealed to all Government officials to be sincere in their works.

After perusing several complaints from the people, the outfit has asked all concerned to undo the wrongs they did at RIMS.

Now the outfit has run out of patience and it can no longer forgive the wrongdoers who, instead of correcting their wrong deeds, have been trying to cover them up, it said.

With a firm belief that the people's verdict is the final verdict, the outfit has been waiting for the right time to translate the people's verdict into action, it added.
