Imphal, September 06 2026: Langthabal Block Youth Congress Committee was launched at the residence of veteran politician O Joy at Kakwa today.

Speaking at the event, the Congress leader emphasised that Manipur at present needs sincere legislators who are dedicated to safeguarding the State's integrity.

The crises facing Manipur at present is a result of the BJP's failing governance.

The BJP-led Government, he said, has failed to restore peace and normalcy.

On the issue regarding the demand for NRC, O Joy alleged that the Centre has deferred the houselisting exercise of the census only because it doesn't want to lose votes in the upcoming elections.

"The census has not been deferred because of the public demand.

It has been deferred because the BJP doesn't want to lose votes," Joy said.

The veteran politician also informed that he has been pressured by many to contest in the upcoming elections in 2027.Local youths, leaders and members of the Langthabal Block Youth Congress Committee attended the event.
