Imphal, April 25: Turning 11 today, the proscribed KYKL today held fort on the politics of revolution and the steps to be taken up to take the armed movements forward.

Dissecting the problems lying before the revolutionary movement in Manipur, the outfit in a statement said that the problem has nothing to do with lack of arms, lack of finance or lack of public support.

The main problem facing the revolutionary movement is nothing but revolutionaries lacking the discipline and commitment to carry forward the revolutionary movement, added KYKL.

To tackle this malaise should be the top priority of all revolutionary organisations, observed KYKL.

Stating that the revolutionary movement is at a crucial stage, the outfit said that to take the movement forward it is necessary for all the people of the region to come together and collectively fight the common enemy.

However the tragedy is the fact that quite a large number of prominent armed groups have fallen to the lure of the Indian Govt.A large number of underground outfits of the North East region are today no longer willing to take the movement forward but are more keen to enter into peace talks with the Indian Govt to ensure the stability of India, observed KYKL.

Quite a large number of outfits, whose examples were worthy, are today engaged in peace parleys with the Indian Govt and now there is nothing to distinguish their cadres from the civilians except that they still carry the name of their organisation, it said.

The invitation by the Indian Govt to hold political dialogues sounds fantastic, said KYKL but added that the offer for talks has nothing to solve the issue at hand.

In other words, the Indian Govt is telling all the revolutionary organisations to stop being revolutionaries in the name of peace talks, added KYKL.

The Indian Govt has nothing to lose by engaging the armed outfits to talks and the cadres of the outfits too have nothing to lose as the peace talk gives them the opportunity to build up their fortunes, build their homes, help their families and make friends all over the place.

The loss is the revolutionary movement.

It is in this circumstances that the Indian Govt is trying to lure the people with offer of peace talks, said KYKL and added that revolutionaries, either because they lost the will and stamina to carry on the struggle or are more concerned with their own future than the future of the people, have entered into peace talks offered by the Indian Government.

Till date no revolutionary organisations in Manipur have fallen prey to the trap laid down by the Indian Govt, said KYKL and said this offers a glimmer of hope.

However the tragedy is not one outfit has embarked on the politics of revolutionary movement.

The time has come for all revolutionary outfits of Manipur to embark on a politics to convince the armed organisations of the NE region to stop the peace talks and bring them back to the revolutionary movement.

The onus of taking up this politics should be taken up by the armed organisations of Manipur, said KYKL and added that the task is Himalayan.

To achieve the politics spelt out, exhaustive discussion by knowledgeable persons, courage, stamina and the ability to lead from the front without any biases, said the outfit.

No group can afford to shy away from the enormity of the task at hand.

"Instead of working towards this direction we are today more concerned with the arms race, money collection and even blowing our own trumpets, " the outfit lamented.

The statement said KYKL has pledged to take up the new task with vigour and added that no efforts will be spared to nullify the trap and lure of peace talks offered by the Indian Govt.The outfit also acknowledged that the people are today suffering from the excesses of security personnel, the action of police commandos and the demands of the armed outfits.
