One active member of RPF/PLA apprehended

Imphal, April 12 2023: Imphal West commando arrested an active member of proscribed outfit RPF/PLA from Heingang Makha Leikai Chingkhong today afternoon.

The arrested cadre has been identified as Samurailatpam Sanjit Sharma alias Thoi (30), S/o S Shanti Sharma of Kalinagar Ward No 3, Jiribam district, presently staying at a rented house located at Heingang Makha Leikai, said police.

On spot verification, Sanjit disclosed that he started working for RPF/PLA organization in 2016 under command of one "Nao" .

He recruited new members from Jiribam and Cachar area including one Kangujam Premkumar of Digli, Manipur Basti, Assam in the year 2016, added police.

The arrested person and articles seized have been handed over to Heingang Police Station to take up further necessary legal actions.
