SYSU celebrates Diamond Jubilee / Sports Meet

The Siimai (Saranamai) Youth & Students' Union (SYSU) celebrated its Diamond Jubilee cum Sports Meet from December 27-31, 2024 at Dobviilai and village local ground.
The inaugural session was held on Dec 27 at Saranamai local ground with RP Danii, former ADC member as the chief guest and Th Pou, chairman, Siimai Union as the guest of honour.
The inaugural session was also attended by Salew Pfokreni, chief of Makhel village.
On Dec 28 the Union celebrated its Diamond Jubilee under the theme "Serving for a Change" graced by Losii Dikho, MLA, 48-Mao A/C as the chief guest, Saveio Khole, VP, BJYM, Manipur State & Member of Airport Advisory committee as the guest of honour and S Alexander Maikho, former ADC member as functional guest.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest gave his commitment to construct a new football ground in the village within a short span of time assuring to continue to support and help the villagers in every possible way.
The valedictory session was held on Dec, 31 with N Kaikho Kapa, Joint Director (Retd.) Tribal Affairs & Hills, Govt of Manipur as the chief guest, Joram Koveo, president, SDOAM as the guest of honour and Elia Liba, Social worker as the presiding officer.
The sports meet was conducted under the theme, "Transform, Elevate, Excel" where various games including athletics (track and field) were held during the meet.
The SYSU executives and the Central Organising Committee (COC) of the program expressed their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all the guests for their valuable presence and gracing the occasion.
The Executives & COC also thanked all the members of SYSU, Siimai Union chairman and secretary, chairman and secretaries of the villages and Siimai Youth and Students organisation (SYSO) for hosting the event and to all the five Makhel Youth presidents and secretaries for their support and guidance.
The SYSU Executives and COC also expressed their gratitude to all the patrons and donors for their generosity and the three villages (Siimai Ngudu,Siimai Khaikho & Siimai Rakhutao) Village Authority Council.
