Imphal, November 26 2009:
Even though the Union Home Ministry has revoked the National Security Act applied against 10 activist in the midst of strong people's movement against the July 23 Khwairamband killings, the 10 activists are still in jail.
An official source said that though the 10 activists were detained under NSA, the same was not confirmed against them.
Moreover, they refused to go out on bail thereby landing themselves in jail.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the Police Department has taken up necessary measures to tackle the declaration of AMSU, MSF and KSA not to pay any form of tax to the Government and ban all kinds of construction activities with effect from November 28 .
