DESAM would be organising a mass rally on July 5 under the slogan to make education a free zone.
Speaking to reporters at its office today, DESAM vice-president LC Santosh appealed to all the students and teachers ranging from primary to University level as well as all educationists to participate in the rally.
The rally will be flagged off from THAU ground at 11.30 am.
It will pass through Dingku Road, Lamlong and Minuthong before winding up at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium where a public meeting will be held.
A definite decision whether the people should accept disturbances to education or strive to bring education to a higher level will be adopted during the meeting.
Observing that many elements are disturbing education in the State, LC Santosh asserted that these elements are making disturbances to education as they are allegedly unaware of the importance of education in the development of a society.
