Imphal, March 23 2014:
A big business delegation from Thailand would visit Imphal by road after landing at Guwahati.
From Imphal, the delegation would go to Myanmar by road on National Highway-2 and make an assessment of the trade potential on terrestrial routes between India, Myanmar and Thailand.
The BIMSTEC-ASEAN Trade land survey team would be headed by Pracha Veerachatkul, Director, Bureau of General Administration, Government of Thailand.
The team would reach Kolkata tomorrow and they would start from Guwahati for Imphal on March 26 .
The team includes 15 entrepreneurs and they would held a meeting with the Nagaland Transport Minister at Kohima before proceeding to Imphal where they would hold another meeting with Commerce and Industries Minister K Govindas.
The meeting would discuss about trans-national trade, logistics and connectivity.
The team would leave for Mandalay after visiting the Customs Office at Moreh, conveyed the official.
