Imphal, June 19 2011:
In a unique attempt to blend the Gospel with their declared objective, the Kuki State Demand Committee on Friday organised a social-gospel crusade at Sielmat's Chawnga Memorial hall here.
The course of the KSDC movement for now and future, which is pronounced to be non-violent in nature, is the main idea that was reflected at the crusade that witnessed a distinctive amalgamation of the social and gospel perspective in creating a Kuki State.
Speaking in the programme, KNO President PS Haokip spoke on the need for unity among the kindred tribes and the need to abide by God's words.
On the dominant issue of the KSDC movement, he exhorted the village chiefs and villagers to fully collaborate on the KSDC appointing them as the leader of the movement in each of their village and endorse the committee's move to declare each village as a
KSDC unit.
The KNO will only step in only if 'thal-leh-hiem' (read as weaponries) are needed, he said.
