Imphal, August 13 2011: Four cadres of the proscribed KCP, including its finance secretary, have reportedly been arrested by a combined security team from different places of Guwahati on august 12 .

An informed source said the four were rounded up by Guwahati City Police, personnel of Military Intelligence unit and 120 Bn CRPF during the course of pre-emptive security measures taken up in the city ahead of the Independence Day celebration.

While self-styled District Commander of the outfit identified as Joychandra alias Ingocha alias Dilip was apprehended from the city's Bhetapara area, three other members of the outfit were rounded up from Bihutoli area on Joychandra's disclosure.

Identifying the SS finance secretary as A Joy and one of his accomplice as Sunil alias Lenin, the source said the fourth KCP activist Yumnam Udoi (34) of Guwahati was picked out from City Heart Hospital.

Three computer sets, same number of mobile phones, nine SIM cards, two memory cards, some driving licenses and Rs 45,000 (cash) have been recovered from their possession.

While preliminary question indicate KCP-ULFA link, further investigation is on to ascertain all relevant facts, the source confided.

On the otherhand, a combined team of Thoubal district police commandos and troops of 15 Assam Rifles rounded up a cadre of the KCP (Noyon) group during frisking and checking operation carried out at Khongjom Bazar this morning, said a statement issued by SP (Thoubal) .

The arrested person has been identified as Wahengbam Inao alias Zack (28) s/o W Tomba Singh of Arong Khunou Makha Leikai Heibong Makhong.

Meanwhile, a PRO IGAR (S) release said troops of 29 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector apprehended three Myanmar nationals from laibi area and have been handed over to Tengnoupal police station.

The arrested foreigners have been identified as Abdul Manam (18) s/o Abdul Malib, Robi ahmed (48) s/o (L) Dadu Miyen and Abdul Rahman (40) s/o (L) Abdul Hamid, all from Rannabung in Kyoto Arakan of Myanmar.
