Taking a dig at the alleged corrupt deeds of Chief Minister O Ibobi, the BJP today demanded present status on Loktak Lake phumdis clearance contract given to K-Pro Infra Works Pvt Ltd by the State Government.
Addressing a press meet today, Zonal Organising Secretary of BJP, P Chandra Shekhar Rao charged that a work order amounting to Rs 224,39,14,035 was awarded to a firm named K-Pro Infra Works Pvt Ltd on August 9, 2009 against established norms.
This is nothing but broad daylight robbery of public fund, charged Chandra Shekhar Rao while elaborating on the 'illegal' norms on which the contract was awarded to the firm.
Rao also demanded that the Government should immediately release the details of the promoters of the K-Pro Infra Works Pvt Ltd including the full-form of the firm.
He further said that special audit inquiry should be made by the Controller and Auditor General of India on the scam.
The BJP leader also demanded setting up of an inquiry commission with a sitting Supreme Court Judge on Loktak scam without any delay.
