Imphal, January 27 2023: 74th Republic Day was celebrated widely across the State yesterday.

The 74th Republic Day celebration at the main building of Cheirap Court Complex, Uripok began with the unfurling of the National Flag by RK Memcha Devi, District & Sessions Judge, Imphal East in presence of Aribam Guneshwar Sharma, District & Sessions Judge, Imphal West.

The event was also attended by Maisnam Johny Meitei, General Secretary, All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA); Alek Muivah, Special Judge (ND & PS), FTC; Monalisa Maibam, Judge, FTC for Crime Against Women, Vice President and Joint Secretary of AMBA, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal East and Imphal West, Advocates, Officers and staff members of the District & Sessions Divisions, Imphal East and West.

The personnel of 6th MR posted at Cheirap Court Complex gave the guard of honour.

As a part of the programme, Aribam Guneshwar Sharma, inaugurated the 'Justice Clock' at Cheirap Court Complex, Uripok.

On the other hand R.K.Memcha Devi inaugurated the Justice Clock at Lamphel Court Complex, Lamphelpat in the morning in the presence of P Tomcha Meitei, President AMBA, Judicial Officers, Advocates, officers and staff.

Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) also celebrated 74th Republic Day 2023 was held yesterday at the High Court of Manipur where P V Sanjay Kumar, Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur and Patron-in-Chief, MASLSA hoisted the National Flag at the High Court premises with General Salute and National Anthem.

As a part of the celebration, Annual Report 2021 of MASLSA was released by P V Sanjay Kumar, Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur in the august presence of Justice M.V.Muralidaran, Judge High Court of Manipur and Executive Chairman, MASLSA; Justice A Bimol Singh, Judge High Court of Manipur; Justice Kh Nobin Singh, former Executive Chairman, MASLSA; Senior Advocates and other dignitaries, said a press note by MASLSA.

Earlier in the day, MASLSA also celebrated the Republic Day at its office at ADR Centre, Lamphel Court Complex.

The 74 th Republic Day ceremony was also held at the High Court of Manipur where Chief Justice P.V Sanjay Kumar unfurled the National flag in the presence of Justice M.V Muralidaran; Justice A Bimol Singh; Golmei Gaiphulshillu, Registrar General, High Court of Manipur; Ibotombi Namoijam, President of High Court Bar Association, Manipur, registry officials, advocates and Court staff.

Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal celebrated 74th Republic Day yesterday.

Professor H Priyoshakhi Devi, Director, RIMS hoisted the National flag in front of A-Block, RIMS.

Professor N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS; Deputy Director (Admn) RIMS, CAO/FA, RIMS, Principals of Dental College, College of Nursing, Dean Academic, Heads of Departments, faculty members from Medical, Dental and College of Nursing, Administrative officials, Nursing officials, staff and students also attended the program, said a statement by RIMS.

As a part of the celebration, sweets were distributed to the patients admitted in the hospital.

The 74th Republic Day celebration was also held at the Central Agricultural University (CAU) Headquarters Lamphelpat and its 13 constituent colleges.

March-past was carried out by security personnel and students and various sports events were also organized on this occasion for the faculty members and students.
