Thoubal, May 24 2022: A one-day legal awareness programme was held at Oinam Sawombung, Thoubal jointly organised by Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) and Women Empowerment and Child Development Organization today.

The event was graced by members of MSCW Lourembam Dayabati Devi, T Chuongsin Koireng and Y Antas Khan, former MLA, Lilong AC, Hassina Begum, Adakshya, Thoubal and Promila Asem, secretary Women Empowerment and Child Development Organization.

During the event, Lourembam Dayabati gave the keynote speech while T Chuongsin Koireng spoke about the role and function of MSCW and the importance of making women ware of their legal rights enshrined by the law for empowering themselves.

Y Antas Khan stressed on the strength and inner power of women.

Hassina Begum encouraged women groups to participate in the decision making processes.
