Twenty two IPS probationers including six lady officers underwent a nine-day attachment training with the army under the aegis of Red Shield Division from December 10, which culminated in an interaction between IPS officers and GOC Red Shield Division Maj Gen DS Hooda on December 18 at the Leimakhong headquarters, said a PIB (Defence Wing) release.
Speaking on the occasion, the probationers termed such stint with the army units as an exciting and prolific attachment with valuable memoirs, the release said.
The IPS probationers, segregated into two groups, were trained by 4/8 GR and 12 Maratha LI in their respective locations, on the aspects of organisation and role of army, counter insurgency operations, human rights and modern weapons and equipment profile in the army, according to the release.
Expressing gratitude to all the probationers for their sincerity during the training programme, General Hooda urged them to strengthen the bonding between the Army and the Police, the release conveyed.
