NMYSO clarifies

The Northern Maram Youth & Students Organization (NMYSO) refuted the false rumours that some students from Kuki communities are going back home and termed the rumours as unfounded.
In connection with rumours circulating on social media regarding students from Kuki communities going back home, Lawrence Pungdi, Secretary, Information & Publicity NMYSO in a clarification note said that all students and staff are safe and classes are going on normally.
The clarification note said,'Our commitment is to protect the students and staff and maintain peace and harmony within our jurisdiction' .
Rumours can create unnecessary tension among the people which can adversely affect the normal classes of the students.
Spreading rumours can have serious consequences for people involved.
It is important that all individuals take responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of information before sharing it with others on social media platforms.
The student body also urged all concerned to reach out directly to them if anyone has concerns or questions about any information one may have heard for clarification and to avoid unwanted rumours in near future.
