Imphal, July 10 2024: The State Finance Department has instructed all administrative Secretaries to submit reports on finances to be incurred in enhancing retirement age of employees to 62 years and filling up of vacant posts in their respective Departments on or before July 31 .

The direction came following a Cabinet decision of February 24 this year to evaluate financial aspects regarding a proposal to increase the retirement age of Govt employees to 62 years and filling up of vacancies.

The report shall be furnished on or before July 31 to the Finance Dept for consideration of the Cabinet, said a letter dated July 9 sent to all Secretaries by Deputy Secretary (Finance/PIC), Angom Heera Singh.
