Imphal, September 29 2010: Imphal East district police commandos arrested one PULF cadre namely, Md Nurjaman alias Deny (43) s/o Md Usman of Keirang Tera Makhong from Sangakpham Bazar on September 27 .

A press release issued by Imphal East SP said that the district police commandos also nabbed one KCP (MTF) cadre namely, Keisham Sunilkanta alias Goroba Singh (24) s/o Sama of Yairipok Bishnu Naha Awang Leikai from Bamon Leikai on the same day.

In another incident, a joint security team of Imphal West district police commandos, 26/28 AR under the supervision of Deputy SP (Ops) S Ibomcha arrested two KYKL cadres from near the temple of Ebudhou Korouhanba, Moidangpok at around 6.30 pm on September 27 .

The cadres have been identified as Naorem Arun alias Karou Singh (23) s/o Bolo of Moidangpok Mayai Leikai and Angom Angouton Singh (28) s/o late Bidhu of Moidangpok Makha Leikai.

On spot verification, the cadres disclosed that they had extorted a huge money from general public of Patsoi and Lamsang area under the command of Yambung alias Malemnganba for the party fund, said a press release issued by Imphal West SP.

One Smith & Wesson pistol, one magazine along with six rounds, one Aircel SIM bearing phone number 8014833971 were seized from Arun.

On the same day at around 9.30 pm, the district police commandos netted one PREPAK cadre from Moirangkhom on NH-39 .

The cadre has been identified as Meisnam Kuber Luwang (34) s/o late Sana of Kongpal Laishram Leikai.

One AK-56 rifle (made in China) with one magazine and two live rounds were seized from his possession.

Imphal West district police commandos arrested two PLA cadres from Kyamgei Palhanbi crossing yesterday.

The cadre has been identified as Mayanglambam Shamungou Singh (44) s/o Bira of Kyamgei Mamang Leikai and Yambem Narayan Singh (50) s/o late Tomba of Kakching Wairi.

Two mobile handsets were seized from them.

A combined team of 26 Assam Rifles under Red Shield Division, 28 Assam Rifles under IGAR (S) and Imphal West district police commandos arrested two KYKL activists namely, Naorem Arun alias Korou Singh (23), finance secretary of Lamsang area and Angom Angouton Singh (28) of Moldangpe Mayai Leikai.

One 9 mm pistol with six live rounds and one mobile handset were recovered from their possession, said a press release.

Troops of 33 Assam Rifles under Red Shield Division arrested two over ground workers of PREPAK today.

The two persons have been identified as H Ranjit Singh alias Basant (21) s/o H Chandra Singh of Chandpur Mamang Leikai of Bishnupur district and Kh Abung Singh alias Mangan (29) s/o Sanatomba of Kumbi Mayai Leikai of Bishnupur district.

They have been handed over to Moirang police station, said a press release issued by PRO PIB (DW).

Troops of 28 Assam Rifles and 12 Maratha Light Infantry of 9 Sector under IGAR (S) arrested one PULF cadre from Canchipur area at around 12.15 pm on September 28.The cadre has been identified as Abdul Karim alias Itombi (58) s/o late Md Amok of Phoubakchao.

One 9 mm pistol with magazine, four live rounds of 9 mm pistol, one license SBBL gun and one mobile handset were recovered from his possession, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
