UNLF confers civilian, military awards to 23

Imphal, February 10 2015: On the occasion of its birth anniversary, the UNLF has conferred the Nongda Lairen Pakahangba Mana and Herachandra Mana respectively to three party leaders and 20 armed cadres and officers of the Manipur People's Army.

The Nongda Lairen Pakahangba Mana which is the highest civilian award of the UNLF was presented posthumously to Hodam Ibomcha alias Mangang, 49, son of H Nilachand of Hodam Leirak; Samom Kriti alias Ito,47, son of late S Tomba of Kamong Meisnam Leikai; and Maibam Koibi of Ukhongshang.

On the other hand, the Herachandra Award was conferred posthumously to 20 ranks and files of the MPA.
