Imphal, April 05 2009:
To consult the AICC high command on the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for April 16 and 22, Chief Minister O Ibobi left for New Delhi today.
A Cabinet Minister of the SPF Government informed that the Chief Minister left for New Delhi to hold meetings with AICC president Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Sing and Home Minister P Chidambaram in connection with the Lok Sabha elections in Manipur.
The Chief Minister would return to Imphal tomorrow.
Another prominent agenda of the Chief Minister's visit to New Delhi is the issue of securing the culprits involved in the murder of SDO Dr Kishan and his two staff from the custody of NSCN (IM) .
Notably, the CBI has registered a formal case besides sending CBI SP Ganesh Dharma to Imphal a few days back to launch investigation into the triple murder.
On the other hand, it is reported that all documents of enquiries conducted by Senapati Police and Ukhrul District Police into the murder may be handed over to CBI tomorrow.
