The State's Covid-19 active cases remain unchanged from yesterday at 17 as two persons were infected by the virus during the last 24 hours and an equal number of positive individuals were discharged from RIMS and Covid Care Facility following recovery.
With two individuals from Ukhrul and Kangpokpi confirmed positive out of 246 samples tested during the last 24 hours, the State logged a daily positivity rate of 0.8 per cent.
Even though there is no report of Covid related death in the State during the last 24 hours, the pandemic has already claimed 2120 lives.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the State is now 1,37,217 (general population 1,32,203 and Central security personnel 5,014) including 1,35,080 recovered cases (general population 1,30,073 and Central security personnel 5007) .
The recovery rate as on Tuesday is 98.44 per cent, according to a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
A total of 300 D-type oxygen cylinders and 92 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different healthcare facilities of the State yesterday.
At present, all the 300 Covid beds of JNIMS and 190 of RIMS are vacant.
Taking into account 4745 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,32,438 (first dose 15,54,397, second dose 11,99,927 and precautionary dose 78,114) .
Till Monday, 51.19 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been vaccinated with both the first and second doses of Covid vaccine while 61.65 per cent has received the first dose.
