The report of the one man Justice PG Agarwal Inquiry Commission, which was constituted to probe into the controversial BT Road incident on July 23, 2009 that left two persons dead and five other wounded, is to be submitted to the State Government tomorrow.
Talking to The Sangai Express, retired Justice PG Agarwal said the inquiry has been completed and the report is going to be submitted definitely to the State Government tomorrow.
It may be recalled here that following a series of photographs published by the New Delhi based news magazine Tehelka which contradicted the police claim that Chungkham Sanjit was shot dead in an encounter on July 23, 2009 people erupted in protest crippling normal life in the State for months.
In the incident, Thokchom Rabina, a pregnant woman was also killed while five other persons sustained injuries.
According to a source, the report of the Justice Agarwal Commission to be submitted to the State Government tomorrow is likely to be handed over to a designated representative of the State Home Department.

On the other hand, the CBI, which has also been roped in by the State Government to probe the police firing has already submitted the chargesheet against the police and the hearing of the case has already started.
The Judicial Inquiry was ordered by the State Government after Tehelka came out with a series of photographs, which showed Sanjit being accosted by the police commandos, frisked, shoved inside a pharmacy and later coming out with the lifeless body of the young man with the claim that he was killed in an encounter.
Following the publication of the photographs, Manipur erupted in protest and normal life was crippled for months with educational institutions shut for nearly four months.
The demands which included the resignation of the Chief Minister for allegedly sponsoring State terrorism and protecting the killers as well as fitting action against the police officers concerned were however not met and the months long agitation petered out without any significant development.
The CBI on the other hand had filed charge sheets against six police commandos in connection with the incident and the six personnel have been placed under suspension.
