Imphal, May 14 2022: For the second consecutive day, there was neither any Covid-19 positive case nor any Covid related death in the State during the last 24 hours.

Altogether 112 samples were tested for the virus and all of them turned out to be negative.

Notably, the pandemic has already claimed 2120 lives in the State.

There was also no report of any discharge or recovery of Covid-19 positive persons during the last 24 hours which implied that there are still eight active cases and all of them belong to the general population.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State stands at 1,37,230 (general population 1,32,216 and Central security personnel 5,014) .

It includes 1,35,102 recovered cases (general population 1,30,095 and Central security personnel 5,007) .

The recovery rate as on Saturday is 98.45 per cent.

Taking into account 2091 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,68,664 (first dose 15,62,795, second dose 12,15,208 and precautionary dose 90,661) .

Till Friday, 51.66 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been vaccinated with both the first and second dose of Covid vaccine whereas 61.72 per cent has received the first dose.
