Four new Covid cases reported, daily TPR at 1.5 pc

Imphal, April 13 2022: Even as the State reported four new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, at least three persons were discharged from Home Isolation today to increase the recovered cases to 1,35,011 .

Currently, the State has 38 active Covid cases.

The four fresh cases were detected from Imphal West (3) and Bishnupur (1) from among the 269 samples tested in the last 24 hours and the updated daily positivity rate stands at 1.5 per cent.

The death toll, on the other hand, remains constant at 2120 as the virus claimed none in the last 24 hours.

So far, 1,37,169 Covid positive cases have been detected in Manipur including 5,014 Central security personnel out of which 1,35,011 have recovered.

The recovery rate stands at 98.43 per cent.

Yesterday, the State distributed 100 D-type to different health care facilities in Manipur and administered 1,743 Covid vaccine doses.

As per the Covid Common Control Room, altogether 488 Covid beds are lying vacant at RIMS (189) and JNIMS (299) as of today.

In terms of vaccination, the State has fully vaccinated 50.87 per cent of its eligible population against COVID-19 while another 61.60 per cent have received at least one dose.
