It was also agreed to take out a mass rally at a latter date at Imphal together with representatives of political parties which would be followed by a public meeting on the same issue.
The political conference was presided by Sapamcha Jadumani, convenor of the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System while Advocate Khaidem Mani acted as moderator.
Speaking at the conference, Salam Ibohal of BJP asserted that all national level political parties should understand problems and issues of regional level.
If the regional problems cannot be resolved, there is no point in working for national level parties, he said.
Manipur was in slumber for a long time and it was during this period that the distinctive identity of Manipur nation was disappearing.
In the meantime, outsiders have been making continuous influx into the State.
The question of influx and migrants is a big issue which needs no lesser attention that the issue of AFSPA, corruption, underdevelopment, HIV/AIDS etc, Ibohal said.
Trinamool Congress spokesperson RK Shivchandra raised strong objection against the Union Minister's comment on the issue of enforcing ILPS in Manipur.
He also demanded that ILPS should be enforced in Manipur without fail.
NPF general secretary PA Theko pledged that NPF would support any mass movement aimed at enforcing in ILPS in Manipur.
Sotinkumar of CPI highlighted the need for a sustained and forceful struggle in order to ensure that ILPS is enforced in the State.
Maniton of MPP asserted that it is the bounden duty of all the people of Manipur to save their identity, ensure economic security and preserve customs and traditions of all indigenous communities by enforcing ILPS.
"It is our right to save our own identity from the ever-rising threats posed by influx", he asserted .
