Low count continues with 105 new cases; no deaths reported

Imphal, October 11 2021:
The low count continues with 105 persons returning positive results out of a sample of 1794 tested in the last 24 hours to record a daily positivity rate of 5.9 percent.
This is the lowest daily count after October 4 when Manipur then recorded 100 new cases.
No deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours making it the fourth time that Manipur has not seen any death due to the virus in the last 2 months.
The last time no deaths were reported was on September 7, September 25 and October 9 .
The 105 new cases include four from amongst the Central security personnel and the 101 civilians included 56 women.
The positive cases were detected during testing at RIMS (1), JNIMS (12) and other testing centres (92) .
COVID-19 Common Control Room in a statement said that the positive cases from amongst the civilians are drawn from Imphal East (24), Imphal West (48), Thoubal (4), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (4), Churachandpur (1), Senapati (1), Tamenglong (1) and Pherzawl (14) .
Amongst the districts Pherzawl returned a high of 29.8 percent daily positivity rate as 14 out of 47 samples returned positive results.
With the addition of 105 more cases, the cumulative number of cases in Manipur stands at 1,22,108 including 4308 Central security personnel.
With no deaths reported in the last 24 hours, the total number of deaths stands at 1885.On the other hand a total of 127 persons were discharged from home isolation (49), RIMS (7), JNIMS (8), CCCs (54), and CHICs (9).The number of recovered cases now stands at 1,18,516 including 4284 Central security personnel and the recovery rate is 97.06 percent.
The number of active cases is 1707 including 19 Central security personnel.
The total number of Covid doses administered on October 10 is 2162 and the cumulative number of doses administered is 17,72,938 including 5,41,702 who have received their second dose.
In the last 24 hours a total of 652 D Type Oxygen cylinders and 174 B Type Oxygen cylinders were made available to different health centres across the State.
The number of beds as enumerated by the COVID-19 Common Control Room is RIMS (General beds-206, ICU-26), JNIMS (General beds-42), CMC Koirengei (General beds-27, ICU-8), Iboyaima Hospital, Singjamei (General beds-25, ICU-5), Jivan Hospital, Kakching (General beds-20, ICU-5), Shija Hospital (General beds-45, ICU-37), Raj Medicity (General beds-79, ICU-21) .
