State logs 159 positive cases, 3 deaths COVID-19

Imphal, October 01 2021: Even as the State logged 159 fresh Covid in the last 24 hours, 187 persons were discharged after recoveries in the same period.

With the addition of this figure, the active and recovered cases now stand at 2,232 and 1,16,457 respectively.

The recovery rate is 96.61 percent.

The fresh Covid positive cases detected at RIMS (5), JNIMS (18) and other testing centres (136) are from Imphal East (35), Imphal West (84), Thoubal (7), Bishnupur (5), Ukhrul (3), Churachandpur (7), Chandel (1), Senapati (3), Tengnoupal (5), Pherzawl (5), Tamenglong (3) and Kangpokpi (1) .

Of the 159 positive cases, 86 are female.

As per State Level COVID-19 Deaths Audit Committee, 3 deaths were also reported in the past 24 hours - Imphal West (1) and Imphal East (2) .

The cumulative number of deaths has now mounted to 1858.None of the deceased were vaccinated.

Altogether 187 persons - Home Isolation (64), RIMS (15), JNIMS (7), CCCs (87) and CHICs (14) were discharged after recovery, pushing the recovered cases to 1,16,457 .

The cumulative number of positive cases, on the other hand, stands at 1,20,743 including 4,286 CAPF personnel.

A test positivity rate of 5.6 percent was registered on Friday for the past 24 hours out 2,821 samples tested.

Meanwhile, 1123 D-type and 350 B-type oxygen cylinders were provided to different health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours while 2,811 Covid vaccine doses were administered on September 30 last.

The vaccine doses administered so far stand at 1702902 .

As enumerated by the COVID-19 Common Control Room, COVID-19 beds available at different health care centres are RIMS (general beds 196; ICU/HDU beds 23), JNIMS (general beds 42; ICU/HDU beds 10), CMC (general beds 27; ICU/HDU beds 8), Iboyaima Hospital (general beds 25; ICU/HDU beds 5), Jivan Hospital (general beds 20; ICU/HDU beds 5), Shija Hospital (general beds 55; ICU/HDU beds 40) and Raj Medicity (general beds 74; ICU/HDU beds 21) .
