In view of Easter Sunday and Cheiraoba festivals, shops dealing in essential commodities would be opened tomorrow while an order has been issued for district-wise allocation of rice for open sale to public.
The three Ima Keithels will however remain to be closed.
An order issued by CAF&PD Commissioner Bobby Waikhom today said that shops dealing in essential commodities can open tomorrow in view of the Easter Sunday and Cheiraoba festivals.
Another order issued by the CAF&PD Commissioner made district-wise allocation of rice for open sale to public.

It is said that petrol pumps would be opened tomorrow for essential services only.
A press release issued by Special Secretary (Home) H Gyan Prakash said that all vendors, shopkeepers, petrol pump operators and customers should wear mask covering nose and mouth.
According to the second order issued by the CAF&PD Commissioner, the district-wise rice allocation is Imphal West 200 quintals, Imphal East 150 quintals while Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching, Kangpokpi, Senapati, Churachandpur, Pherzawl, Chandel, Tengnoupal, Tamenglong, Noney, Jiribam, Ukhrul and Kamjong have been allocated 75 quintals each.
In Imphal West the shops selling rice will be opened from 9 am to 2 pm.
Rice at the rate of Rs 25 per Kg will be sold at Langol Housing Complex, Langol Game Village, Lamphel Quarters, near Lamphel PS, main gate of Manipur University, Khoyathong near traffic island and at Uripok near Ibotonsana Higher Secondary School for Imphal West.
A maximum of only 10 kgs will be available per family, said an order issued by the DC of Imphal West.
In Imphal East, rice will be sold at Premila Variety Store Yaingangpokpi, Raja Shijagurumayum Store Khurai Lamlong Keithel, Sahu Nayvuvak Sang Mantripukhri, Bharat Grocery Store Palace Gate, M/s Boyai Grocery Store, Kiyamgei.
Shops selling essential items in Imphal East district will be allowed to open from 6 am to 11 am, said a notice issued by Dr Rangitabali Waikhom, Deputy Commissioner of the district.
People should strictly maintain social distancing while lining up to buy essentials, said the notice.
