The XVII EIMI Meet, 2017 at Manipur University

The XVII EIMI Meet, 2017 of tribal students of Manipur University was held at Centenary Hall, Manipur University, Imphal today. The Meet, under the theme”, “Peace, Love and Unity Among the EIMI” was organised by Manipur University EIMI Welfare Society (MUEWS).
The function was graced by Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Minister, V. Hangkhanlian as Chief Guest and Asst. Prof. CSSEIP, Manipur University Dr. Thathang Vaiphei as functional President.
Minister V. Hangkhanlian handed over meritorious awards to two gold medallists and Ph.D. awardees. The Minister said that for peace and happiness in the society, one should not forget the theme and maintain love, passion and unity among the different communities. For equality, love and peace, let us try in every possible way. Students who would become leaders should try to increase capability and talent in various ways; contribute the skill by students and workers that would bring peace and development to our state. Let’s strive for peace, love and unity, he added.
Entertainment items like cultural dance in traditional attire echoed the ears of the audiences and the hall.
Special invitees Addl. Principal Conservator of Forest, Dr.Khaizalian, CEO CCPur District Council Soiminlen, MCS, Principal, RK Sanatombi College of Teachers’ Education, Dr. K.P Guite and Advocate Serto T. Kom gave their speeches encouraging the Tribal Students. Around 300 students and other dignitaries were present in the meet.
