Knowledge Exchange Network (KEN) held motivational Virtual/Live meeting with the youth of Manipur amidst COVID 19 lockdown
Knowledge Exchange Network, Manipur (KEN Manipur is a voluntary organisation collectively run by Manipuri professionals across the world, based at Boston, USA. KEN's sole aim is to create employment opportunities in Manipur through knowledge transfer and skilling youth by synergising the local need and best means available in the world.
Looking at the current COVID-19 crisis and also to engage the youth in the productive ways, KEN announced a series of Expert Live talks. It is a free interaction and counselling sessions of the youth and also their parents.
Many discussions are planned related to their careers, higher education-Medical, Engineering, Management etc., global scholarship, Job and entrepreneurship etc. Earlier also KEN had conducted several Free Computer Training Courses for the youth.
Bishwajit Okram as key speaker for this session, had delivered a talk on “How to plan ahead for your career in general” on 6th June 2020 at 6.30pm [IST]. He is a Financial Controller, a fellow of Certified Chartered Accountants UK, Associate CPA, Australia. The key speaker shared his life experience about how to plan, determine and focus in life.
Most importantly, he emphasised that youth should never accept failure and compromise with failure in their life especially at their earlier year of life. He also advised the youth to be optimistic and be happy about the future.
About 15 Manipuri Youth from different parts of Manipur and India participated in the cordial interactive meeting. They also asked many questions related to their future career and plan from the diaspora members.
The president of KEN, Herojit Rajkumar [who is the Founder of HASK Group, Singapore] had shared objective such interaction with youth "for a community to thrive and progress, engaging the youth and giving them good, and the right foundation is the key.
KEN will continue to run this kind of program in an aggressive way to support our youths". Also, KEN members from different parts of the world offered mentorship to the youth participated in the meeting.
