The present turmoil in Manipur could have been averted, If the Central and the State Government
pro-actively finds solution to the various multi-level and multi-facet problems that has been existed since
India”s independence. Government does not merely exist to make laws and enforce the same for the sake of
governance but also to provide quality services and erase the seed of discontentment at the outset,
Beside promoting the quality of the welfare of its citizenry by respecting his or her fundamental rights such as
right to life and proper existence with honour and respect. Is not the later attitude, will result in
creating a vibrant and positive environment conducive for understanding and positive growth?. But this is not happening.
It is indeed unfortunate that the post independence era fail to witness any real political leader whose leadership have the
minimum required vision, will and integrity to translate, the great Indian dreams and the good intention of the pre-Independence
Indian Leadership of developing India into a great nation. Indian system of Governance is very poor and dry lacking understanding of
the ground reality and the root of disintegrating forces and agent which crops up as a result of marginalization and misgovernace.
Beside the Government machinery is plague by Scams, Nepotism, Red tape and corruption at various level in
various proportion and at various capacity.
The final outcome is the discontentment and frustration of the marginalized class. They react and response in various forms-some
may take refuge in forming an insurgency group to assert theirs rights, some may become a criminal, drug addict etc…a few may become
a successful career wise cause his or her talents is insurmountable and rewarded luckily for fighting against all odds.
So merely labeling the whole situation as Sentimental and law and order crisis will be a misinterpretation of the underlying
dynamics. It is indeed worrying to see the central and the state government, so helpless and incompetent to defuse the tension.
Where is the political leadership skill of crisis tackling skills has gone? What is the whole community of bureaucracy doing?
Why are they standstill in lump unable to proactively intervene any action to calm down and stop hurting and killing of its people.?
Infact ,the level of lacking in problem tackling skill and the level of paucity of idea to defuse the intensely tense situation
in Manipur is beyond imagination.
Let them run the country, let them make laws, let them do what they think right without listening to the public opinion and voice.
And we will see more and more upheavals, agitation’s, killing, bandh strike etc Who will pay the prize for the costly mistake
of not listening to the public sentiments? Infact the naked protest in front of kangla undress the Indian nation among the nations
of the world. And the implication and impact of the event is multifarious and not something positive politically, culturally,
socially and economically. Though the act was local , the message fly across continent and reached globally, very loudly ,clearly
and in a thought provoking manner on how things are going on this small part of the Indian sub- continent.
The central Government policy of wait and watch, and the stiff attitude of the state Government will render no good, instead the
Central and the state Government inevitably needs to admit their various negligence and lapses by their predecessor and themselves
while conducting duty and policy framing, to bring the confidence of the public into their fold.
In fact the marginalized class and right thinking general Indian public are hungry and they are on the verge of starvation waiting
for the leader whose leadership is incorruptible, visionary, brilliant enough to deliver to the minimum level of public expectation
and inspiration beside sensitive to the public issues and opinion.
