Mova Cave of Hungpung in Ukhrul District
It was a fine day in the month of February; we went for a ride on NH 150. The journey was a bit long and tired.
We heard the name of such a 'wow' feeling destination from long time back. From the grace of God, we have visited and explored the location on 3rd February 2019.
Here sharing the details of that place
MOVA CAVE – The cave is located en-route Ukhrul district of Manipur.
The total destination from the heart of Imphal City is around 3 hours (68 kms) and 50 minutes (14 kms) from Ukhrul Town.
The exact location of this limestone cave is Hungpung. This amazing cave is situated on the bank of the bluish Lungshang River.
This limestone cave is one of the most amazing caves in the country.
The entire cave is of 4 (four) zones.
The first zone is Entry of the cave,
main hall is the second zone of the cave,
the third zone is a narrow hole where people can kneel down to go inside and
the final zone is the exit point to the river.
The people of the region believed that the CAVE is female and a few footsteps away there is a steep hard rock mountain which is believed to be the male partner of this limestone cave.
Scroll down and see the beauty of Mova Cave and its surrounding.
