Military Defence Force (T) claims Nov 30 Imphal blast
Nagaland Post | 6 Dec, 2011,
Military Defence Force (T) of Manipur Monday claimed that its cadres were responsible for the blast at the main gate of Sangai Tourism Festival complex on November 30 that claimed the life of the carrier of the explosive and injured four people.
However, the statement signed by MDF (T) publicity secretary Tiken asserted that the bomb was meant for triggering on the day of visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi on December 3.
While owning up the blast, the statement said that it was the handiwork of its army chief Lanboi and contradicted the statement given by the victim who carried the explosive on a rickshaw, Md Kora to the police and onlookers before he succumbed to his injuries. Md Kora had stated that the two persons who identified themselves as KCP cadres hired him to drop the box at the entrance gate of the festival by paying Rs.20/-.
