Is the BJP led govt. sabotaging the trust of the people ?

The present BJP govt. came to power as an alternative to 15 years congress rule in the state.

Over thousands had been murdered in staged encounter, issues of Drug smuggling, rampant corruption in the name of cleaning Loktak lake and atrocities committed to the people had raged to the people.

What is ironic is that the present BJP led government instead of acting on the aspiration of the people has now forgotten the sentiment of the people and is busy organising Go to Village, Go to Hill and Peoples’ Day.

This is a direct humiliation to the people as it is a contrast to the post election campaign of the BJP.

On the other hand fishermen living on the Bio Mass (Phumdi) at Loktak lake are still yet to get justice.

The ruling BJP too had so far not extended any help to the fishermen of Loktak lake.

It is at this junction that the question arise – what is the difference between the past and the present government?

As of now no measures has been taken up to punish those Drug lords involved in smuggling of drugs in the state.

This is nothing but the synonymous character of the past and present govt.

The present BJP government which won the heart of my people on their assurance during pre election campaign still had not taken up any measure to make sure that victims of the staged encounter are delivered justice.

If the present government is serious about the staged/fake encounter, than those chargesheeted and those who are under investigation would have been already put under suspension.

However, nothing of such has been taken up instead it showed a signed of protecting those policemen involved is staged fact encounter.

This is the reason that this paper felt that the BJP led government had failed to keep its pre election campaign.

It won’t be surprising to mention that the series of fake encounter happened during 15 years of congress rule occurred when today’s deputy Minister was the DGP of the state.

That means he knows or had knowledge of everything that happened.

But the BJP government which had promise to deliver justice has been keeping him in high political profile and is presently going hand in hand.

The government now considered its survival to the blessing of the once upon a time head of the police department.

The attitude is no difference from the previous government when it comes to killing, maiming and torturing of innocent lives.

It is no wrong in taking help from even an enemy to make its position, but turning blind to the crime committed by the enemy and placing him at the top position simply suggest that the government is cheating the people.

At almost all organised meeting of the BJP – the party assured justice to victims of fake encounter.

The BJP also many times assured to book all those responsible who looted public money in the name of cleaning the Bio mass of Loktak lake and also assured appropriate punishment to the drug smugglers.

However, this government again cheated the people by taking action to some few peons after establishing the anti-corruption cell and sideline those involved in multicourse narcotic business as well as the issue of Loktak cleaning crisis.

The govt. led by N. Biren Singh is no more new. It is over 1 years and half month old.

Many rights activists have often termed congress government as murderer’s regime now it is no wrong to call the present government as regime for protection of murderers and criminals.

On the other hand, majority of the people who are living under poverty line still are denied from getting the PDS items. People are being hypnotized in the name of ‘Go to Village’ program.

This government showed some of its true colour by playing communal polities by keeping the agenda pf religion as their top priority.

Hatred to Muslim community is reflected and all effort to convert each and every community to Hindu religion.

But one thing that this government makes the people smiles is the continuation of lip service.

But the reality is that there is still no administration at many part of the Hill region.

What is more worrying is that the BJP seems to have no worry to intrusion of Manipur’s territory by Myanmar Authority.
