Interaction with students stranded in Pune during COVID 2019 lockdown

During the current crucial period of lockdown due to the Corona virus pandemic, Dr. H. Narendra Singh, President, AMAND, Pune had an online meeting cum discussion via face to face video interaction with Manipuri students & working singles in and around Pune on the 14th April 2020.
The online meeting started from 8pm and lasted about 1 hr and 15 mins.
About 40 Manipuris comprising mostly of students (including Meitei, Tangkhul, Naga and other Manipuri community students) living in different parts of the city joined and interacted with the President.
Some Executive members of AMAND also took part in this online call. In his introductory speech, Dr Narendra mentioned about the present state of students & families from Manipur staying in Pune and the support AMAND rendered upon them in collaboration with MSAP, the students organization.
With the generous donations from various members of AMAND & MSAP, Pune COVID 19 Relief Fund was initiated to support stranded students in Pune.
He further appreciated the selfless volunteers of MSAP in standing up during such critical situation.
Dr. Narendra gave them a true confidence, moral and mental support and listened to their feedbacks.
He interacted on one to one basis with the participants and discussed about their various issues. Such interactions will be arranged at least once a week until the lifting of the lockdown, the President said.
Mr Manishwor Thounaojam, President, MSAP shared the list of beneficiaries who are in dire conditions (13 in nos till date) from Pune COVID 19 Relief Fund.
The moral support and the help rendered by the joint team of AMAND & MSAP were well appreciated by the students and the single working professionals.
Executives of AMAND & MSAP had already started regular online meetings on Pune COVID 19 Relief Fund since 10th April, 2020.
AMAND appreciates the efforts of Mr Kulabidhu Chanam, Info & Publicity Secy and Mr Sanjoy Yurembam, Executive Member for setting up such online meetings during this lockdown.
