Dr. Palin adjudged among 25 most influential Icons

Management of Shija Hospitals congratulates Dr. Kh Palin, Chairman cum- Managing Director of Shija Hospitals on being judged as 25 Most Influential Icons by Eclectic Northeast. Eclectic Northeast is a Magazine published for North East India by Eclectic Publication.

On their November 2012 edition they have featured the 25 most influential icons of Northeast India, people who have attained national/ international recognition and have made outstanding contributions to the growth or promotion of region. The narration cites ‘..many visible and invisible hands, have persistently made significant contribution, towards making the Northeast what it is today. People who strived for greater social benefits and brought laurels to their states and region. These beacons of hope have made an incredible mark such as indelible mark in NE India’s history that the present generation looks up to them as examples to follow and revere.’

The shortlisted names have been compiled after a survey which was based on three criteria:
1. Influence- in creating a palpable change in their own fields of action and in society.
2. Inspiration- for young and old, due to their work, conviction and perseverance.
3. Impact- in changing the face of the Northeast into a positive and admirable one.

The list includes 4 names from Manipur- MC Mary Kom, Binalakshmi Nepram, Irom Sharmila and Dr. Kh Palin. The other names in the list from the region are Arnab Goswami, Dr. Mukul Sangma, Manik Sarkar, Bhaichung Bhutia, Ahkil Gogoi, Tithi Debbarman, Jarjum Ete, Tarun Gogoi, Pawan Chamling, Neiphiu Rio, Conrad Sangma, Niketu Iralu, Lalnghinlova Hmar, Ranjit Barthakur, Rosemary Dzuvichu, Rev. Wati Aier, Hasina Kharbhih, Larsing Ming Sawyan, Wasbir Hussain, Sajjan Bhajanka and Binny Yanga.
