Successful launch of first issue of AgriManipur boosted our confidence to move forward. It catapulted the next issue to come into existence with more vigour and action. Success, however, always comes with a price. As we move forward, challenges follow. The biggest challenge is to raise the fund. Initial fund was raised internally through contributions by members of SAFI (Society for Agriculture, Food and Innovation).

As our resolve and commitment to society grew stronger, we also plan to improve and expand AgriManipur. 2nd issue is in the final stage of preparation and it is going to be published in mid February 2012. We laid out plans which will be implemented phase by phase:

1. Increasing the numbers of print copies. 500 copies were printed in the first issue. It will be augmented up to 4000. It will be eventually increased more based on readership.

2. Free copy: Copies will be distributed freely to all the stakeholders and also through newsstands.

3. Increase in total number of pages.

4. Multi-lingual: Besides the present English version, Manipuri version will be coming very soon.

5. Quality print: Prints of highest standard will be the top priority.

6. Frequency of publication: It is now published thrice a year (February, July and October). By 2013, we are hoping to make it monthly.

1. What is AgriManipur?
Building on the foundation of facebook group, AgriManipur was launched as a formal medium of knowledge exchange and discourse particularly targeting the progressive farmers, enterprising food processors and motivated youths though the target is general mass. It is published thrice a year (February, June and October). First issue was published in a village in Sardar Hills on October 16, 2011. 2. Why we seek donation from you?
One of the missions of AgriManipur is to equip our farmers, food processors, scientists and everyone in the field with the updated knowledge and inspire to reach a greater height. In doing so, we are compelled to augment the circulation and reach every nook and corner without compromising the quality of the contents. So we decided not to charge even a single penny form the readers. To fulfil this objective, we seek financial help of generous individuals.

3. Where to use your valued donation?
Your valued donation will be used in various ways. Some of which are a) printing cost b) distribution cost like postal charges, conveyance, etc. c) honorarium for article contributors, etc.

4. Will money be used transparently?
Definitely YES. It’s our promise to you that your priced donation will be used honestly, diligently and transparently. A separate book of account will be maintained by SAFI management. Detailed book of account will be webcasted thrice a year in coincidence with publication of AgriManipur. It will also be sent separately to each donor.
