What anti-socials closed MB?
[ Thu, Dec 11, 2008 3:58 am ]
Today I check MB after a long gap of time...but I found MB has been closed since 6 months back...I am not getting what kind of anti-social elements been produced in e-pao.net so as to impose the idea of closing e-pao MB...yeah I found some nasty stuffs but we (some high thinking people) didnt take it seriously as it was some people trying to get attraction or diverting the topics conversation...well, suppose if any worse things happened, dont we have an e-pao moderator... we can easily erase or delete such bad writing in e-pao MB.....anyway, thinking e-pao administrator have already been implementing other solution regarding this matter..... God Bless Manipur!

It happens everywhere in digital world
[ Sun, 10 Feb 2008 02:46:28 -0500 ]
Closing down th MB is not a solution to the problem. It a good place to get information. And its really interesting that different
kind of people give different ideas and philosophy. We will find different people everywhere, its also true that it had been misused.
It happens everywhere in these digital world. So please don't close it, rather provide topic with moderator. That will be much better option than closing down

MB had 'actually' helped in the past
[ Tue, 15 Jan 2008 10:42:40 -0500 ]
It is disheartening to know that the MB is now closed. Albeit, a lesson for those who misused it like a de-stressing zone in
all the wrong sense. It's high time we stopped acting like juveniles. This MB feature had actually in the past helped many people in more ways than one. And to those who used it to actually communicate intelligently & globally, this move will defnitely hamper
those who seek to find "relevant" information.

Start with few chosen moderators
[ Mon, 14 Jan 2008 21:00:18 -0500 ]
1. Start with a few chosen moderators.
2. Make sure people need to register first so that people can't litter the message board with crap anonymously. This was one serious drawback of the previous MB
3. As the MB becomes bigger, more users who are worthy of being moderators can be roped. This will help monitor the MB in a neater way and reduce the burden of the epao admins per se.
4. There is a need to lay down some rules objectively so that it becomes clear what qualifies a user to be kicked out of the forum. No spamming, no abusive languages etc.
Personally, I don't see why the epao MB shouldn't come back strongly.

organised reloaded E pao MB
[ Mon, 14 Jan 2008 01:46:11 -0500 ]
It seems to be quite familiar to see regular abusers in public MB as we have seen in other sites too. But I dont think just closing the forum might bring the
proper solution. Besides, every Public forum should be loaded with adequate Moderators, so that people might feel free to be a part of an organisation which
relentlessly nurtures by utilising utmost of their social views and potential keeping in mind the emerging global trends. Sooner or later ' I am expecting an
organised reloaded E pao MB.

MB are expected to be misused
[ Sun, 13 Jan 2008 04:35:46 -0500 ]
I am not an avid user of the message board, however I can't believe MB has been closed because it has been misused. Such message boards are expected to be misused, but the answer is not closing it down. We are suppose to see whether the benefis outweigh the harm it does. Does it help people exchanging ideas, does it bring more people in this webside, does it make people visit this website more frequently etc.? Internet is abused, almost every good things in this world are abused, we don't shut everything down, so same should be done for this message board.

unfortunate to miss such an interesting platform
[ Fri, 11 Jan 2008 11:23:45 -0500 ]
A few anti-social elements had spoiled the useful of freedom of expression in MB. Obviously it's difficult to filter the unwanted comments. Closing of MB will teach these people a lesson; it is a king of remedy for their mistakes. I hope e-pao will bring back the MB in near future with more advanced technique.

better to close
[ Thu, 10 Jan 2008 20:42:30 -0500 ]
Yes! It is better to close the e-pao MB if some one can't monitor it. You can't not stop abusing when it is free to all, because there are different types people in the world.

a little bit of immaturity
[ Thu, 10 Jan 2008 17:07:30 -0500 ]
Free platform does not mean ... letting others do whatever comes in mind ... Free platform should be used to welcome new thoughts , innovative ideas should be welcomed ... As far as for feedback in my view the epao team has shown a little bit of immaturity by closing the message board ... as per knowledge message board has been closed twice ... for the same reason .. misusing it for personal agenda or whatever ... so the problem has not been solved , closing the board like this is not a soln to it ... i hope the team looks for some other solution to it ...

Closure of MB services - a disappointment
[ Wed, 9 Jan 2008 09:54:11 -0500 ]
It is very disheartening to know that e-pao team would be putting off the MB services, after running it for so long. it must have been a very disappointing moment for the e-pao team to arrive at that decision.
But what I don't understand from this decision is would closing down of such services be the only viable solution ? dont we have any other alternative solution. if thats the only solution e-pao team can think of, then I'm very sorry to say that e-pao team had shown a little immaturity at arriving at this conclusion.
I wish e-pao team come out with a viable solution so as not deprive the citizen of Manipur, the luxury of free speech. and I also wish that e-pao team come out with a solution to deal with the so called anti-social elements.
Awaiting a prompt action or rather a solution other than the one already implemented.

Another such platform in near future?
[ Tue, 8 Jan 2008 14:50:39 -0500 ]
I do understand the kind of bad impression the postings in MB make to the world....but this is really a very sad and bad ending.
I'll be missing this grand platform.
I wish, our e-pao administrators could filter the postings and block repeated and unwanted subjects in it. I'm sure there has to
be a way!
As we see, all good things come to an end....so is this MB! Nevertheless, I appreciate for bearing this intolerance for long.
If this is not too much for you, I hope to see another such platform in near future, of course, with limited and specific entrants...
