YAC thrash COSMO in Men's match

Imphal, April 29 2015 : NCMM Sabal Leikai and LYTNM Lamlongeishared points in the league match and advance into the final of the 2nd T Bhubon Singh Memorial Veteran Women's Hockey Tournament while YAC Yaskhul thrash COSMO Wangkhei in 3rdIbungoyaima Singh Memorial Men's Veteran Hockey Tournament that is being organised by Manipur Veteran Hockey Association (MVHA) under the supervision of the Hockey Manipur Umpire Association (HMUA) at KhumanLampak Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.

NCMM SabalLeikai and LYTNM Lamlongei played fast hockey in the Bhubon Singh Memorial Veteran Women's hockey match.

N Punam sounded the board to take the lead for NCMM in 12th min.

Before, LYTNM could understand what struck them KshSushma sounded the board in the 18th min to increased the lead.

P Inaocha tried to bring back LYTNM into the match by sounding the board in 20th min.

NCMM increased the lead through N Purnima in 23rd min.

The goal took Purnima's personal score to two.

In the next minute P Tilotama converted a penalty corner (24th min) to keep LYTNM in hut.

Tilotama's goal added a new life to LYTNM players and raided NCMM territory in tick and fast.

The search for the equalizer ended when Tilotama's hit found the board in 39th min to the delight of LYTNM players and supporters.

With clock signaling the end of the match after a minute of the goal both the teams walks away contended.

The draw enables both teams to end their league campaign joint winners with 4 points and advance into the title match.

YAC Yaskhul thrashed COSMO Wangkhei in Ibungoyaima Singh Memorial Men's hockey match by 5-1.YAC's P Bishworjit hit the board of COSMO to take the early lead (17th min).

Stunned by the goal, COSMO tried to regroup to mount a challenge but Bishworjit added the lead for YAC in 21st min to put COSMO in the back foot.

H Raikumar found the target in 29th min for COSMO and brings back his team into the match.

However, S Tarun takes the match beyond COSMO's reach by converting a penalty corner in 36th min and YAC pocket the match in 3-1 .
