MAKKA announces State Kho-Kho teams

Manipur Amateur Kho-Kho Association (MAKKA) has announced the names of players who will represent Manipur in the ensuing 29th Sub-junior National Kho-Kho Championships 2018 to be organised at Rudrapur, Uttarakhand from December 15 to 19 by Uttarakhand State Kho-Kho Association under the auspices of KKFI.
The names of the boys selected in the State team and their respective units are Md Amar Ali of CHMYDA, L Bimolchand Singh of PYDC, Kh Mukesh Singh of BASU, P Naoboy singh of ASKKA, S Dinesh of ASKKA, Th Dingkar singh of SCEASDO, Sh Lenin of SCEASDO, Boicha Meitei S of SYA, Kh Malemnganba of BASU, Md Mustakin of CHMYDA, Ph Arbin Singh of SYSCA and Md Fariskhan of LYDO.
M Bijesh Singh of RUC, Ph Prasanta Singh of PYDC and Y Jamesbond Singh of JAKA were also named in the reserve list.
The girls selected for the State team include, M Thoi of RUC, L Sofiya of SCEASDO, Kh Merina of SCEASDO, M Anju of RUC, N Anjali Devi of SHRIRCS, Kh Sanathoi Devi of ASKKA, S Abesana of RUC, E Romila Devi of PYDC, L Payal of PYDC, S Sophiya Devi of SYSCA, A Sushmita Devi of SYSCA and Kh Aruna Devi of LYUO.
The girls in the reserve list are M Priyanka Chanu of SCEASDO, S Binita Devi of LYUO, Ph Jeli Devi of SYA and O Sofia Chanu of PYDC.
Further these players are informed to report to M Himat Singh, treasurer MAKKA and L Singhajit Singh, joint secretary, MAKKA on November 24 at 1 pm at SYSCA ground, Salungpham for residential intensive training and coaching.
The training will be conducted under Kh Imo Singh, NISKK and the players must come along with required kits and other necessary materials, said a statement of MAKKA.
Meanwhile, MAKKA has condoled the sudden demise of Y Raju Singh on November 20 due to a heart ailment.
Raju was a National Senior Kho Kho Referee and served in various capacities at Manipur Amateur Kho-Kho Association.
Executive council, technical officials of MAKKA fondly remembered Y Raju who was also a National Kho Kho and Kabaddi players during a condolence meeting held today at 1 pm at BASU Office Complex, Khangabok.
The association also shared grief of the bereaved family and prayed for his soul to rest in peace.
