NKL, NCK, LKL, HNK win in Tangkhul Men's Volleyball tourney

Imphal, November 15 2021: Ngarumphung (NKL), Lamlai Khunou (LKL), New Cannan and Hunphung (HNK) advance themselves to the round of 8 as the 1st Tangkhul Men's Volleyball Tournament organised by Muirei Katamnao Long, Yaingangpokpi kick-started today at organisation's ground.

The opening ceremony of the knock-out volleyball tournament was graced by Ramnganing Muivah, IAS (retd) as the chief guest.

The first match of the tournament saw Ngarumphung ease past Muirei-B 25-22, 25-9, 25-18.New Cannan then carved out a 3-2 (27-25, 22-25, 25-23, 19-25, 15-11) win over Tashar (TSR) in the second match.

In the third match, Lamlai Khunou (LKL) saw off S Laho (SLK) 25-20, 25-21, 25-23 and Hunphung edged out Louphong (LKL) 25-9, 25-16, 18-25, 25-8 in the fourth match to complete the last 8 stage line up.

Pool A: Happyland vs Leikoiching; Muirei-A vs Sopleng;
Pool B: Thoyee vs Irong and Loushing vs Leiyaram.
