Imphal, December 15 2013: MPSC pipped YWC, Langthabal with better goal average to finish as the runners-up team of the 5th AMFA Senior Women's football league tournament which concluded today at Mapal Kangjeibung.

NYThC, Okram Chuthek finished fourth with a 3-2 defeat of win-less KRYPSA, Naoremthong in the day's other match ensuring the former end the campaign with their first win.

ESU, Wangkhei had already clinched the title with an all-win record in the five-team league competition.

Despite a goalless draw between MPSC and YWC today, the former's superior goal average (+2) ensured second place finish after both ended on seven points each.

Closing ceremony cum prize distribution programme was held with All Manipur Sports Association president IAS (Retd) AH Chowdhury and AMFA president A Santoshkumar Singh as the chief guest and president respectively.
