Imphal, March 08 2018:
While endorsing all the resolutions passed during the UNC presidential meeting convened on February 26, the Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) Presidential Council Meeting (which was held on March 3 at its office), unanimously resolved that no parties or companies (either private or Government sector) would be permitted to conduct any forms of survey, test, exploration of natural resources in the ancestral land under any circumstances.
The PCM has urged every individual, villagers, groups, civil organisations etc to refrain from recommending or issuing 'No Objection Certificate' or any such documents without consulting the higher authority.
A press release issued by president of CNPO further appealed to all Nagas to strictly comply with the restriction so that the ancestral land, rights and future are well protected.
