AJCTA stages sit-in protest

Jiribam (Imphal East), June 16 2015 : All Jiribam Contract Teachers Association (AJCTA), Jiribam today staged a sit-in protest in front of MSF Special Branch office, Jiribam demanding the extension of the work contract, reports our correspondent.

Speaking to media persons, Kh Basanta Singh, general secretary of AJCTA said that the contract was to be extended a day after the expiry date (February 28) .

However, the authority concerned has not initiated any step regarding the matter.

He also warned of resorting to rigorous form of agitation in case the extension order is not notified on or before June 30 .
