'Ningol Chakkouba' celebrated in Canada

Imphal, September 29 2021: Manipuri Association of Canada (MAC) organised 'Ningol Chakkouba' celebration on September 26 at Island Lake Conservation area, Ontario in Canada.

'We celebrated the ceremony in advance this year considering the unpredictable situation of COVID-19 pandemic', said Nabakishore Singh Haobijam, president of MAC in a statement.

Nabakishore added in the statement that the festival of 'Ningol Chakkouba' carries a message of love between brothers and sisters and signifies the love between families and nurtures the relationship between communities.

A number of families from various communities spread across Canada came together for the celebration, he added.
