Imphal, June 16 2015 : Carrying on its campaign for inclusion of Meiteis in the Scheduled Tribe category under Article 342 (1) of the Indian Constitution, The Scheduled Tribe Demand Committee of Manipur in collaboration with Educational Sporting Club organised a public discussion session at Wabagai Thingel Leikai in Thoubal district on June 14 .

In association with local clubs and meira paibis, the committee had also organised similar discussion sessions on the issue at Citizen's Club, Soibam Leikai Wangkhei Khunou on May 31 and Kairang Maning Leikai community hall on June 7 .
