CCpur, November 02 2015: The functionaries of the Churachandpur BJP have objected the alleged booth and mandal level election conducted by a former MLA at his private residence reportedly without the knowledge of the district returning officer.

A statement of the district BJP said they object the election conducted by the former MLA and 'self-styled party leader' Hangkhanlian at his Lamphel residence yesterday.

They alleged that the district committee had been petitioning the State Returning Officer to delay the party election in Churachandpur due to the prevailing unfavourable law and order situation in the district and also due to the JAC and JPO's call to shun political activities in the district.

Even as the district committee is awaiting the SRO's response, the former MLA reportedly conducted the said election without the consent and knowledge of the DRO, alleged the district BJP and declared they have no knowledge of the said election.
